The Niagara Literary Arts Festival is a June long, volunteer driven festival of literature set in the majestic Niagara Region of Ontario, Canada.Whether you're a poet, a fiction weaver, a songwriter, a historical artist, a teacher, a student or a novice, there is a place for you. Events will include book fairs, workshops, lectures and special events, spread across the Niagara Region in cities including St Catharines, Fort Erie, Ridgeway, Niagara-On-The-Lake, Welland, Pelham and Niagara Falls. --Jordan Fry

Freegal is a downloadable music service, like iTunes, available from your library. All you need is your library card number and PIN. With access to the Sony Music Entertainment catalog, it offers hundreds of thousands of songs, over 100 genres of music, and more than 50 record labels, all without having to download special software or have any digital rights management (DRM) issues to deal with. Library users have a weekly download limit of 5 songs.

Niagara-on-the-Lake Transit - For information Click Here The new transit system, which provides hourly bus service between Old Town and Glendale via Virgil, as well as a Spring-Fall Old Town route running on the half-hour, is the first phase of what is hoped will be a long-term effort.
It is also among the first public transit systems in Niagara (and most of Ontario) to offer a smart phone application for users. Passengers are able to scan a QR (Quick Response) Code from bus stop signs and immediately be directed to a site providing up-to-the minute bus locations through a Global Positioning System (GPS).
All buses are wheelchair accessible and are equipped with bicycle racks. A one-way fare is $3 cash only (no change) and children under 5 years of age ride for free. The previous taxi token system has been discontinued. However, remaining tokens will be honoured on the new buses as a one-way fare.
